What is Moon.com?
The operator’s own mark, shown for
identification. This is a guide to Moon.com, not Moon.com.
Moon.com is an online platform for leveraged Up/Down betting. You choose an asset, choose a direction, set a wager and a multiplier, and the platform settles the bet against the price feed. Nothing is bought: there is no coin in a wallet and no share in a custody account at the end of it, only a settled position. The operator states in its terms that it acts as the counterparty — the house — on every bet, which is the single most important sentence in the whole product.
That makes it neither an exchange nor a prediction market. An exchange sells you the asset; a prediction market matches you against other users and takes a cut. Here the party paying your winnings is the same party holding your losses, and your maximum loss is fixed at the wager because there is no margin call and no negative balance. The mechanics are broken down in how it works, and what that arrangement means for trust is in is Moon.com legit.

How Moon.com works in 3 steps
Register. Email, password, country and an age confirmation — under a minute, with no identity check at sign-up. Verification comes before your first withdrawal, and Play Money never needs it — registration walkthrough.
Deposit crypto, or stay on the demo. Deposits are crypto only, from about $10, and land after network confirmations — see deposit or start on Play Money.
Pick an asset, then Up or Down. Set the wager and the multiplier, check the Max Loss Price the panel shows you before confirming, and watch that number rather than the chart — the mechanics in full.
Key features
- One-tap Up or Down
No order types, no indicators: direction, wager, multiplier.
- 1x to 1000x
The multiplier is a slider; the ceiling depends on the market.
- Loss capped at the stake
No margin calls and no negative balance — the position simply closes.
- 24/7, including stocks
Tesla priced on a Sunday, because it is a bet on the feed, not an exchange order.
- Public feed and leaderboard
Other people's open bets are visible — useful context, not a signal.
- Auto profit / loss close
Set the exit before you open, which matters most at high multipliers.
Markets you can bet on
| Asset class | Examples | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, LTC, ZEC, HYPE | 24/7 | |
| TSLA, AAPL, NVDA and other US large caps | 24/7, incl. after hours | |
| XAUUSD gold, XAGUSD silver | 24/7 | |
| S&P 500 and other index futures | 24/7 | |
| EUR/USD, GBP/USD and other majors | 24/7 |
Maximum leverage differs per market and is shown on the wager panel itself. We do not reprint per-asset ceilings here because they change without notice — the assets hub tracks them.
Leverage and Max Loss Price in 60 seconds
Wager $100 at 1000x and your exposure is $100,000. A move of 0.1% against you is $100 — your entire wager — so the position closes at the Max Loss Price the panel showed you when you opened it. On a fast-moving crypto pair 0.1% can pass in seconds; that is not an edge case, it is the normal behaviour of the product at that multiplier.
The same arithmetic in the other direction is why the multiplier is attractive, and both halves are real. What tilts the average outcome is the cost layer: the opening fee is charged on the exposure rather than the wager, a rolling fee accrues every eight hours, and settlement happens at a spread rather than the mid price. The leverage page has the calculator.

Moon.com fees at a glance
| Fee | Amount | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Opening fee | 1% of the position | Charged on the leveraged exposure, not on your wager. |
| Rolling fee | per 8-hour period | Applied while a position stays open; the longer you hold, the more it costs. |
| Performance fee | on profit | Taken from a winning position when it closes. |
| Settlement spread | in the price | The price you are settled at is not the mid — this is the cost that is easiest to miss. |
A capped loss is not the same as a small one. Fees and the settlement spread make the expected value of a wager negative over time, whichever direction you pick — the cap limits how much you can lose on one bet, not how much you lose across many. Full breakdown on fees.
Deposits and withdrawals
Moon.com is crypto only in both directions — there are no cards, no bank transfers and no e-wallets. Deposits start at roughly $10 in equivalent and arrive after the network confirms; withdrawals go back out in coin, after identity verification is complete. Practically, that means the first withdrawal is the slow one and everything after it depends on the network you chose.

Method-by-method minimums and timings are on payments, with the step-by-step on deposit and withdrawal.
Opening a Moon.com account and getting verified
Sign-up is an email-and-password form with your country and an age confirmation: no phone step, no social login and no identity check at this stage. Two fields matter more than they look. The email becomes the account identifier and the only route to a password reset, and the country you declare is checked when you withdraw — not when you register — so declaring anything other than where you live only moves the problem to the worst possible moment.
If you want the promo code on the account, enter NEWBONUS on the sign-up form itself; a code added after the account exists is usually refused. One account per person is a term, and a duplicate account is the standard reason a withdrawal gets frozen. The full walkthrough is on registration; signing back in, including password resets, is on login.
Verification (KYC): what to prepare
- Photo ID — passport, national ID or driving licence, all four corners in frame and no glare.
- Proof of address — a utility bill or bank statement, usually from the last three months, in the name on the account.
- Proof of the payment method — for crypto, normally the wallet address you funded from.
- A selfie or liveness check, if the flow asks for one.
Verification is triggered by your first withdrawal, so the easy win is to do it right after the first deposit instead of while you wait for your own money. With clean documents it usually takes hours rather than days; a cropped or glared photo is the usual reason for a resubmission. Documents are held by an offshore operator whose data-protection obligations are lighter than an EU one’s — worth weighing before you upload. Details on KYC and verification.
Play Money: learn the product before you fund it
Play Money is a demo balance inside the same interface, on the same live prices, with no deposit and no identity check — you only need to register. The markets, the multiplier range and the Max Loss Price behave exactly as they do with real money; the difference is that the balance is not yours and cannot be withdrawn. For a product whose risk is this front-loaded, it is the honest place to spend the first hour.
Open one position at 1000x and watch it. Not to win — to see how long it survives. That single observation explains the product better than any article.
Compare 10x with 200x. Same asset, same direction, same stake. The difference in how the two positions behave is the whole product.
Practise the exit. Set an auto profit and loss close before opening, then check whether you would have held past it by hand.
The demo removes money, not habits: if a Play Money session leaves you chasing losses, that will not improve with a real balance. More on Play Money.
Moon.com on mobile
There is no store listing we can confirm. Moon.com runs in the browser, and the mobile layout can be installed as a web app so it opens without browser chrome: on Android, open the site in Chrome and choose Add to Home screen; on iOS it has to be Safari, via Share → Add to Home Screen. It is the same account, the same balance and the same session, and the demo works there too. Treat any APK offered on a third-party site as hostile — an account that can send funds to a crypto address is exactly what a repackaged installer is after.
Two things get worse on a small screen, and both matter here. The chart is smaller, so the distance to your Max Loss Price is easier to misjudge at a high multiplier, and a phone invites quick, frequent bets. If you intend to hold positions rather than open and close them in seconds, the desktop layout is the better tool — installing the web app.
The public feed and leaderboard
Moon.com shows other people’s open positions, their results and a ranking of top performers — an unusual amount of transparency for a house-banked product. It is useful for seeing which markets actually have activity, for a sanity check that the book is live, and for a feel of typical stake sizes.
It is not useful for copying. A leaderboard shows survivors, not averages: the people who took a 1000x position and lost do not appear on it, and no leaderboard shows the denominator. On a product with negative expected value, a run of wins is what survivorship looks like. See the leaderboard page.
Moon.com promo code
NEWBONUS
This is the referral code the operator announced at launch. What it gives has not been published yet — the welcome offer is listed as coming soon, so there is no amount, no wagering requirement and no expiry for us to quote.
We will not invent one. When the terms appear we will publish them with the date we checked, on the promo code page.

- Already hold crypto and are comfortable with wallet addresses and networks
- Want a plain direction bet with the loss on each wager capped at the stake
- Will start on Play Money and set limits before the first deposit
- Treat what you stake as money spent on entertainment, not as an investment
Skip it if you
- Need to deposit by card, bank transfer or e-wallet

- Want to own the asset, or expect an income from betting on prices
- Need tier-1 regulation and strong recourse if a dispute goes badly
- Notice yourself raising stakes to win back a loss
Is Moon.com legit?
The site is operated by Moon International Limited (Union of the Comoros, reg. 16151, Anjouan) and runs on an offshore Anjouan licence, number ALSI-202601063-FI2, which we last confirmed in the public register on 21 August 2026. Offshore is the accurate description: the regime is far lighter than the FCA, CySEC or MGA, and if a dispute goes badly your practical recourse is limited. That is a fact about the licence, not an accusation about the operator.
Trade press has linked Moon to Easygo — the company behind Stake and Kick — on the strength of job listings. The operator has not confirmed any such connection, and neither its terms nor its privacy policy mention it, so we report it as press speculation and nothing more. What we can check, we check: the register entry, the terms, the fee schedule and the cashier's published limits. The detail sits on is Moon.com legit, and our method is on about. Sources: Moon.com Terms, Anjouan Gaming register, launch press release.
Countries and restrictions
Two tests have to pass, and they are separate. The first is whether the operator accepts you: Moon.com keeps a restricted-territories list in its terms, the United States is on it, and the list changes, so the terms are the only current source. A VPN does not make you eligible — the account terms decide, using one to disguise your location is normally grounds to void a withdrawal, and location is checked at verification.
The second is whether your own country permits leveraged retail betting at all, which several do not. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice; if you are unsure, that is a question for a local professional. How to check both is on countries and legality.
Moon.com vs the alternatives
| Platform | What you actually hold | Leverage | Funding | Demo | Oversight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moon.com | Up/Down bet vs the house | 1x–1000x | Crypto only | Yes (Play Money) | Anjouan |
| Crypto exchange (spot) | You own the asset | None | Crypto + fiat | Rarely | Varies |
| CFD broker | Contract vs broker | Typically 2x–30x retail | Cards, bank | Yes | FCA / CySEC / ASIC |
| Prediction market | Peer-to-peer contracts | None | Crypto or fiat | Sometimes | Varies |
Support, and how to tell it from a scam
Support runs through the account area and the operator’s help centre. Open the ticket from inside a signed-in session, and put everything in the first message: for a payment, the transaction hash or cashier reference, the amount and the network; for a position, the time, the asset, the multiplier and what you expected to happen. That usually turns four replies into one.
Support can chase a deposit that confirmed on-chain but has not been credited, explain a fee, act on a verification request, and close or self-exclude an account. It cannot reverse a settled position or recover coins sent to a wrong address on a public blockchain. Details on support and contacts.
Three signs it is not Moon.com support
- It asks for your password or a wallet seed phrase.
- It asks you to send funds anywhere to “unlock” or “verify” a balance.
- It contacted you first, on Telegram, Discord or X.
Every one of those is a theft attempt, whatever name or logo it uses.
Staying in control
A capped loss is not a small loss. Each bet can only cost its stake, but once the opening fee, the rolling fee and the settlement spread are counted, the expected value of each bet is negative — and a market that never closes, with instant results at high multipliers, is exactly the pattern that makes betting hard to stop.
Decide the amount before you deposit and treat it as spent the moment it leaves your wallet.
Use the operator’s deposit and loss limits. They work because they apply when your judgement is at its worst.
Set an auto-close on every position instead of deciding in the moment.
Take a cooling-off period or self-exclude in the account if the pattern starts running you.
Warning signs: betting money set aside for something else, raising stakes to recover a loss, hiding it from people close to you. Free, confidential help lines are listed at the bottom of every page and on responsible gambling.
How we test and score Moon.com
Six criteria, each scored from 0 to 10 with a written reason next to the bar, feed the overall verdict of 8.3/10. A number needs a source: where the operator has not published a figure, we say where to read it instead of inventing a plausible one, which is why no bonus value appears on this site. Press reports are labelled as reports, a licence is cited with its register and the date we checked it, and the downsides sit on the same page as the upsides.
This page was last reviewed on 13 September 2026. Two facts carry their own check dates, because they are verified at the source rather than on the page: the licence register entry (21 August 2026) and the promo code terms (29 August 2026). If you open an account through a link here we may earn a commission; it does not change the score. The full method is on about.

Moon.com FAQ
What is Moon.com?
Moon.com is an online platform where you bet on whether the price of an asset — crypto, stocks, gold or forex — will go Up or Down, with leverage from 1x to 1000x. You never own the asset; Moon acts as the house and your maximum loss is always the amount you wagered.
Is Moon.com a crypto exchange?
No. On an exchange you buy and hold the asset and can withdraw it. On Moon.com you place a wager on the direction of the price and the operator is the counterparty to that wager, so nothing is ever credited to you as coin. That difference decides how the product is regulated and how your money behaves — it is explained step by step in our how it works guide.
What is the maximum leverage on Moon.com?
Up to 1000x, and the ceiling depends on the market: the deepest crypto pairs allow the highest multipliers, while stocks and metals are capped lower. At 1000x a 0.1% move against you is enough to hit the Max Loss Price, which is why the leverage page works through the arithmetic before the marketing.
Can I try Moon.com for free?
Yes. Play Money is a demo balance you can switch to from the same interface, with no deposit and no KYC, and it uses the same live prices as the real book. It is the honest way to find out how fast a 1000x position moves — see Play Money.
Which countries is Moon.com available in?
Moon.com blocks a list of jurisdictions in its terms, and the United States is on it. The list changes, so the operator’s own T&C is the only current source; we keep a summary with the clause reference on countries and legality.
What is the Moon.com promo code?
The referral code announced with the launch is NEWBONUS. When we last checked, on 29 August 2026, the operator had not published what the code actually gives — the bonus is listed as coming soon — so we do not quote an amount. The promo code page is updated when the terms appear.
Do I have to verify my identity to open a Moon.com account?
No. The sign-up form asks for an email, a password, your country and an age confirmation. Identity verification is requested before your first withdrawal, and the Play Money demo never needs it — what to prepare is on the KYC page.
Is there a Moon.com app for iPhone or Android?
Not a store app we can confirm. Moon.com runs in the browser and can be added to the home screen as an installable web app — from the Chrome menu on Android, and only from Safari on iOS. Do not install an APK from a third-party site; details on the app page.
Can I use Moon.com from the United States?
No. The United States is on the restricted list in the operator’s terms. Using a VPN to disguise your location does not make you eligible and is normally grounds to void a withdrawal, because location is checked at verification.
How long does a Moon.com withdrawal take?
The first one is the slowest because it includes identity verification. After that the wait is mostly the network: seconds on Solana or XRP, longer on Bitcoin — see withdrawal.
Can Play Money winnings be withdrawn?
No. The demo balance is not real money and cannot be withdrawn or converted. It exists so you can see how a leveraged position behaves before any of your own money is involved.
Is it worth copying the top players on the leaderboard?
No. A leaderboard shows the people who survived a run, not the average outcome, and a visible streak carries no information about the next bet — more on the leaderboard page.
Can I limit how much I deposit on Moon.com?
Yes. Deposit and loss limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion are managed in the account. Set them before you start rather than after a bad session — see responsible gambling.
